Self-care for parents

You matter too.

Parents often become experts at meeting everyone else's needs — and eventually forget their own. Supporting yourself isn't selfish; it is part of supporting your child. Children borrow regulation from the adults around them.

The more regulated you become, the more available you are for the people you love. Taking care of yourself isn't stepping away from your child — sometimes it is the greatest gift you can give them.
