This policy explains what happens to your personal data on kyed.com. It covers the newsletter signup and the analytics cookies used to measure how the site is used.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and how they move through the site — so we can make it better. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not store in full), device and browser type, and referring links. Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor.

Analytics cookies are set only if you consent. Until you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics runs with storage denied — no analytics cookies are placed. If you click Decline, none are set at all. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

You can change your mind at any time — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Use the button below to reopen the cookie banner and choose again; declining removes analytics storage immediately.

Newsletter signup

The rest of this policy covers the newsletter signup. If you never sign up, none of the following applies to you.

What we collect

When you sign up for the newsletter we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name. The first name is optional and is only used to address you by name in the emails.

How your data is used and where it is stored

We do not store subscriber data on this website — there is no subscriber database here. Your email address and first name are forwarded to MailerLite, the email service we use for list management and sending. MailerLite processes the data on our behalf.

Signup uses double opt-in: after you submit the form, MailerLite sends you a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you click the link in it. If you never confirm, you are not subscribed.

Lawful basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and confirming your subscription. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see below); withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.

How to unsubscribe

Every newsletter we send contains an unsubscribe link. Click it to be removed from the list at any time, with no explanation needed.

Data retention

We keep your email address and first name in MailerLite for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your data is removed from the active mailing list.

Your rights
